Kára Temple

At the intersection of beauty and brains is Kára Temple. A trained nuclear chemist, former Miss USA, and global advocate for science education. Born in Italy and raised as a military child, she lived in Sicily and Japan—experiences that shaped her global perspective and adaptability. Kára began her career in 2013 with the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, later serving as Miss USA in 2017. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with a concentration in Radiochemistry from South Carolina State University and recently earned her MBA from Louisiana State University. In addition to her work in science and leadership.
